I never thought I would get into Trad, but then I realized how much fun it is climb to the top of something. Sport only takes you to the top of the route. Trad can take you to the top of the mountain!

Trad is the best. Yeah,....it drains every green back out of your bank to do it. But it expands your ability to climb beyond just bolted lines. Plus it makes you think more than just clip'n and go'n. Do you really trust your placements? he he he

I dont eaven climb on rope much anymore, but have and plan to agen. If you knew me I was cliping bolts and sometimes fallowing trad. When I moved out west I mostly boulderd because its what I moved to do. However if I fas puting on a harnes it was trad. I learnd to place gear prety quickly and got hooked. I loved the controal leading easy trad gave me, if I got skeched I would plug something in. Not only that but the "sport" routes at Jtree are anything but. ( at least the ones I found, runnout and slabed out and more like mixed routes without placements) But that all came to an end after a cold wet night outside of LA stuck on a ledge in a storm. sometime Ill buy another harnes but for now Ill stay less than 25ft up
Kali Mist grows into tall, running, classically sativa plants with very few leaves. This strain produces dense clusters of full fluffy buds, producing much higher yields than you would expect.
I prefer trad, no question. I wouldn't even lead on bolts for the longest time, because I feel more comfortable falling on my own gear than I do falling on bolts. I also just LOVE cracks. I have only done overhanging sport routes because my friends make me, for the most part. I'm starting to enjoy some of the Red's overhanging jug hauls, but it's rare. It depends on who I'm climbing with, the weather, the phase of the moon, and other factors I cannot explain. The only bolted routes I get truly excited about are technical slab. Those are yummy!
I am surprised the number of responses of people who climb trad are so high. Who is lying?
