Practice on something easy,like sash cord,before you try the finished product.I wove 2or 3 chair seats with it and restarted the whole thing a few times until it worked out and looked profesional.Weaving is relaxing after you get used to it.You got plenty time with all this rain...

they have a video that shows in depth how to make the rope rug, the only thing is it only comes in VHS

This is too cool. I'm going to get a new rope and bag this spring, and I think I'll make a rug for my work-out room. Then, of course, get my fat ass in there and work out!

crazy coincidence but directions for easy climbing rope floor mat are demonstrated in one of the tech tips in this month's issue of Climbing.
