Hi Johnny, This is an issue I feel very strongly about and would like to meet you at the Lee county court house the next time you go. I would gladly help you gather some of this information. I currently own some land in Lee county and I'm interested in purchasing some more. Please post the next time you plan to visit Lee county or send me an email.

Couple of things about my post and your response Ray
I'm was refering to the new, unpublished stuff at Oil Crack. Of course part of Oil Crack exsists in print, and anybody visiting the published routes at OC are deaf and blind if they can't figure out there are more routes past Greased Lightning. My concern lies in the crowds drawn to the new routes (seeing that there are a lot of moderates) and the potential parking and driving issues that go along with crowds. So far, so good, but the on-line guide doesn't seem to have any sort place where this information can be explained. The info is already out there, but is it being presented in the right way?
As for moving crowds away from places like Left Flank, dispersed recreation, this is a great thing. Dispering the crowd will lessen the impact at the base of the crag, one of the thing the FS is most concerned about.
You've taken on an ambitious project. It is just done in a form I'm unfamilar with, seeing I'm not very computer illiterate. I'm much more fan of having somthing in my hands that I can read, its easier for me to digest. Also think that the whole guidebook thing is like the whole development vs preservation debate that occurs right here in central KY. I'm all about smart growth, so I guess I'm for smart guidebook writing.

Hey, I can't see any pictures on the route descriptions. Is this on purpose?

Sorry about the pictures, if you mean photos of the routes. I'm working on making it easy to link to all the pictures in the photo gallery of the route.

If you mean maps of the areas, I don't think there are many maps yet at all. The route numbers given match John's guidebook. If you don't have a copy, I highly recommend getting it. It's very rugged and has over 1000 routes in it (compared to a measly 787 here).

this is the biggest load of crap i've ever seen! is this even "legal"? i'll warrant not. why don't you follow the rules so you don't get the whole rrg completely shut down! they already shut down pocket wall because you posted it on here. why did you do this? were you thinking, "hey whats the worst thing i can do to all my "friends" at redriverclimbing.com? i know i'll make an illegal guidebook!". thanks, but no thanks.

you are the one who got the whole southern region shut down by bolting that route right over the petroglyphs on the wall and calling the route "destruction of history"!

It's obviously satire. Everyone knows that petroglyphs haven't flown in the gorge since the late cretaceous period. Duh.
