I drove this same stretch once during a snow storm on x-mas eve. The wind becomes a real factor in visibility when it snows anywhere in the relative flatlands of Ohio. With Ohio experiencing a budget shortfall, I guess they are getting aggressive on ticketing? Otherwise I cannot see any reason for you getting a citation. I have gone to court over "ridiculous" tickets in the past and had some relief. Even though it would be hard to get out of a ticket completely, I have been able to get my fine reduced. The last time I did this, I was in what most would consider a "no fault" accident. Since Ohio is not a no fault State, I guess they had to cite somebody with something. I got a ticket for "illegal lane change" for not using my turn signal while moving from one lane to the other lane of a four lane street. In court, I had to wait while they heard all the important cases. Right before me, some guy was trying to get out of jail for his third domestic violence charge. I got up in front of the judge he asked me what I was appearinf for. When I said, "Illegal Lane Change". He chuckled and said something like, that's a real change from the last defendant. I got a reduction in the fine. Probably not worth the effort, but it does feel good to fight the system.
