Accidentally Kelly Street and other routes

Post by SCIN »

1. Does anyone know if Accidentally Kelly Street has a bolt on it? If so, is there any other gear on the route?

2. Does anyone know if Zen Master Dude has any other gear on it besides the single bolt?

3. Does Nautical Twilight have any gear on it or is it basically a solo?

Thanks.

I heard someone tried to set Ray on fire while he was sleeping the other night.
Not a bitch.

I can't say much about the other two except they looked as blank for gear as Nautical Twilight did, but if I remember right, Nautical has no gear, but the crux comes short off the ledge so a rope offers some comfort I guess

Wait a minute, you're not thinking about climbing already, are you?

Accidentally Kelly Street, isn't that some chillin' tune by Frente?

Yup. AKS is, I believe in homage to Frente. Dave Chenault has always loved that song.
I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

That song makes me fell all happy in a not so climbing way.

Hey Wicked Tribe or The Mayor, what was the working name ya'll had for that line?
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

Backyard Barbeque was a cooler name. No offense to Dave and his cool-as-ice lead head or choice of name. There's gear on AKS, but it's definitely R at the begininning crux. You can set a bomber gear belay in the horizontal at the base.

Almost logged in as Big Country there for a second...

Zen Master Dude is the first bolt right of the the chain anchors. The crux is above the bolt but then there is decent gear. I don't remember it seeming R after that, though it is kinda serious getting to the bolt, Make sure you have good gear if you can get it at all. Might have been a TCU placement or two. I know there was something.

AKS is all gear, and not too bad either, but its still a pretty serious lead.

Nautical Twilight has good gear for the low crux, 5.6 soloing and decent gear near the top.
