The *best* get-your-dog-to-the-crag story I have ever heard was Artsay rapping with Mazzie into summersville crag at the new. It just makes me grin thinking about it, as Mazzie is pretty big dog.

Man Wes, you're right about the crapping at the crag thing. Dakota always takes a pre-crag dump (I suspect that she learned it from Matt). Dogs either do, or they don't. I only had to shit put once. Guess she forgot to do it.

I read this three times until I understood it then couldn't stop laughing! I can picture it's little legs waving in the air as it sails upward and then back down again!
When we started handing up dogs the owner of the rat dogs just said, "Catch!" and tossed 'em. They stayed oriented to the ground and were as easy to catch as a football. Fucking circus dogs. :)

I've been wanting to do that to my mother's toy poodle for some time. Do I dare ask how many times these dogs had been tossed before? Or how high?

Holy shit, man! I totally forgot about that! I'm laughing right now because I will *never* forget the look on Maizy's face when we were going over the cliff. If dog's could talk, that look said, "What the fuck!?! Nuh, uhhh!!!!!"
Does he have a strange bear claw like appendage protruding from his neck? He kep petting it.

This is kinda off topic a little...but 2 of the times I've been to Jailhouse Rock, a dog had to be carried out in a backpack.

Don't take your dogs to Jailhouse. Its cursed.

I had to carry my dog up a set of steps at Blue Heron. That was awful. He was up around 80 pounds then too.

Wes, those little dogs got tossed up like that regularly. The big dogs were being handed up six feet or so to the ledge and then passed on up another six feet or so to the next ledge so those rat dogs got tossed at least 12 feet up. Most of the time he just sort of lobbed them up and they landed on their own. Unfortunately one of them died in a beaver trap but as best I know the other one is still taking trips into the desert.
