Where did you pick up the guide book and for what price?

I am planning to buy trip insurance for my trip (if I go) given the civil unrest between the Southern Muslim minority and the Buddhist govt. I am also planning to be there for a friends wedding. Also climbiers.

no worries, hope it works out for you. If you end up going, shoot me a PM when you get back, I'd love to hear how it was and any routes or anything else I should check out/stay away from

Trip called off, for obvious reasons. They say it's not too bad in Krabi, but there are some many variables that could spell doom, disaster, and despair. I have called off my trip, and am now desparate to find a new trip to take in February. Dunno...maybe red rocks/vegas?

Hey Ray, sorry to hear about the tragedy in Thailand. What about going to Australia and/or New Zealand instead? Check out the videos: EOS and EOS II... Lots of beautiful rock all over...

i lived in NZ for a while, actually thats where i learned to lead and really started climbing. there is so much good stuff down there, especially if you're a sport climber or boulderer.
