So I got this rope...

Obsessed? Hell Yeah! My mother always complains that I'm obsessed... I tried to explain that I was passionate (not obsessed), but she just didn't understand. :|

Or switch leads on multi-pitch climbs.

Or just flyyyyyyyyyyy...

I'm too old to free solo. That's for young 'uns that haven't experienced any death close at hand and don't know what it's like to live missing a friend.

I second that.

I've had good luck with the Bluewater rope marking pen. It seems to fade a little after a while but I just remark it and have had no problem finding the midpoint.

Thanks everyone. I think I'll use a rope marker pen just to be sure though I just might use your basic laundry marker. If someone wants to get me a big bump of meth I'll stitch fine silk thread for three feet either side of the middle in even stitches. Oh so even. I'm not going to sweat about it until I'm climbing somewhere outside of the Gorge area on something pure trad.
