i thought it was euro 14a but i may be wrong. people have used velcro before for ease of clipping (book of hate in yosemite) but i wonder if he isn't clipping the piece to the rope from his harness and then placing it. or am i mistaken? cuz if it was clipped to his harness he could only place gear from the one side or did i miss that in the video? plus always placing gear from one hand can be a major strain on that arm.
