John Bronaugh's son Alex injured in car wreck
Many of you probably already know, but Alex was in a serious car wreck yesterday I guess. I have never met him or his father who recently passed, but this morning at the ironman bible study and breakfast at Southland Christian Church about 200 men prayed for him and his family. I hear that his injuries are very severe and that recovery is questionable. I hope this is not the case. I may have been misinformed. Anyway, if it is true you may want to say a prayer for him and his family.
Prayer works. Miracles happen and angels are real. Please pray for Alex, Tina and the rest of his family.
'Darling, may I please be excused for a moment?
I have to shake hands with a very dear friend of mine, whom I hope to introduce you to after dinner.'
The polite way to excuse yourself and take a piss.

Alex was seriously injured in a car accident on Thursday morning, November 18th. He is in critical condition at this time. Alex, his family and his friends could really use and will appreciate your prayers, but please do not contact them for information. When there is an update on his condition that is appropriate to share publicly, it will be posted here. Please be patient, and please keep him in your thoughts.

Alex is injured. All he has is hope and his young body's ability to heal. Prayer does work (double blind studies . Studies with patients and the prayer givers separated by thousands of miles. The patient being prayed for does better.)
Even if you have a hard time buying into conventional Christian faith, summon your hope and pray for Alex, that his brain will heal, that he will have a functioning body and mind. Pray for Tina, Jesse, and Alex's family that they will be comforted with peace, confidence, and hope.

"It really is all good ! My thinking only occasionally calls it differently..."

Alex suffered severe, diffuse brain trauma. He remains in a coma, in critical condition. His prognosis is unknown. There may not be any change or update on his condition for a long time. Details are not able to be posted here, so hang in there and keep praying. Prayer is powerful. If you don't pray, then meditate or do whatever it is that you do in order to send your healing energy Alex's way, as well as to provide strength to his mother, Tina, his little brother, Jesse, and the rest of their family.

Alex's update
Just to update everyone
Alex has been responding to commands like lift your thumb or your finger. These types of commands are measurements of his progression back to some cognitive function. This is measured on a coma scale and his scale is now an 8. When he was admitted it was a 3, which is basically no brain activity. After 2 days he was a 5, the next day he went to a 6 and now an 8. He is moving his eyes much more and opening them some. If he begins to open his eyes consistently his scale will increase again. Conscious people are a 15. They would like him to get to an 11. Also, he has a tracheotomy and a feeding tube in his stomach. They will help to wean him from the respirator. Thanks to everyone for all the thoughts and prayers!! I believe all the positive thoughts are helping him recover.
Thanks,
Tina
