Yup. A Sharp Zaurus will do the trick. It runs Linux and all you need is Apache, PHP and MySQL.

Zemkat was also fooling around with getting the guidebook handheld (the wonders of technology! I bet John's guide will never be held in your hand!). The easiest way on the Palm is to get a PDF viewer (from Adobe.com). Another way is to just make an HTML version of the guide, and then something like AvantGo (or any webpage viewer doodad) would display it.

The guide is only between 75k and 400k so it shouldn't be too big a memory hog. A plain text version would also be easy if anyone still reads text; you would miss out on all the animated drawings of Horatio climbing the 3d-photomapped crags (with box of chocolate donuts in hand) though.

Why is that so freakin hard to conceptualize? I am going to start hitting myself in the head so that the noise stops 'cause that's all I am hearing

I will post beta to the "new" crags. They are on Murray's land as is Oil Crack and other already published areas.

Which is the same land that we are negotiating on, as in the RRGCC, as in the future CLimber owned land. I really think that you need further education as to what your actions truely impact. Show up at the meeting.
