so here's the deal...i need a more healthy diet, numero uno. i have been feeling run down and not climbing to my potential lately and blame my diet. i have been eating very little and un healthy meals. i am looking for low cost but more importantly healthy meals.
i think i need to stick to the food pyramid more and eat less processed food and more fresh fruit/veggies.
any help would be appreciated. presenlty spend well under $40 a month on food. could kick it up to $100 a month to help me climb better and more importantly feel better. thanks.

I don't have any recipes. First thing I did when I figured out that eating better will help me climb harder was to quit eating all fast food. Go buy some good protain powder. Drink a shake after climbing.
Go buy a good multi-vitimin. Take one each day.
I like good soup, maybe $1.50 - $2 a can for dinner.
Peanuts in the shell are cheap and have good stuff in them. Get unsalted.
Eat whatever other then that.
Rest days are key. No more the four days a week on, or after awhile you will be beat down. Full week off every 6-8 weeks will help as well.

You can find deals, and if you don't take a full serving (like 1 or 1.5 scoops instead of 2) you can make it last awhile. It is key though. Good mixes will have supporting stuff in it as well, which will help recovery. It doesn't do any good to take a long roadtrip if you come back in worse shape then you left, climbing weaker, or at least not as strong as you could be.Meadows wrote:Doesn't that protein powder cost as much as his monthly budget?
