I got on Girls Gone Wild this weekend. that statement could be taken SO wrong, as it should be. seriously though, if you ever go back to Shady Grove its a sweet route (5.11d)

yes wes, i was told wrong. i was thinking it went down a little too easy to be an .11d but i was feeling too good about it to question what i was told (or maybe mis-heard)

Meadows-- we waited for you at Miguel's and then left you a note. I thought that was the plan! Blast!

I'm glad you had a good day anyway. How can I make it up to you, sugarpie?

i'm with you, wes. i feel, and look, like i got into a fight with a rock monster and lost. red scrapes and some scabbing on the chest, forearms, wrists, hands (both backs and palms), and fingers. hell, my forearms cramped up while steering the car on the way home on sunday.

a hot shower after the 3 days never felt so good...nor so painful.

on the upside, i'm proud of how i got some of those scrapes. 3 of the problems i sent ("Popeye", "VIP", and "Beer, Guts, and Glory") were successful because of a fist-jam...where most boulderers use the slopers. my inner traddie still got to climb! 8)

sorry for the delayed post... didn't get home 'till 11pm last night (after leaving HP40 at 11am) and promptly passed out.

glad to hear everyone got out to enjoy the great weather this weekend.

peace yo

Friday: Climbed at the EKU wall for an hour or so.

Saturday: I got to climb outside with rope guns!! lots of laps on outstanding climbs at Funk Rock. What awesome weather and great people too!

Saturday night: Ran into Ray and Michelle at Rupp for Norah Jones, so that's sorta like climbing. I was so exhausted it was hard to stay awake, but it was a great show none the less.

Sunday: Lilly Boulders. Onsighted a V3, and on first go sent another heel hook traverse that had kicked my butt in years past! That felt nicer than I can say. Sent Hemlock Arete and some other really fun and hard stuff there too. Perfect day... almost too warm! ;-)

Monday: Sore sore sore. People at work making comments that I look tired, but happy. No doubt! AWESOME!

I remember why I like climbing outside.
