floatin' the boat - 2005 over half way there

Post by brad mc »

do you know what a great feelin' it is to help save a bouldering area from destruction... and to have that area become climber owned and managed??

Well, we are over half way there. We are paying our mortgage, taxes, and all the other stuff.

But we need your help to continue to keep this cool little urban boulderfield open to the public.

So come on down and escape the cold from up north and enter the Boat Rock "Float the Boat" bouldering competition on January 15th and be part of history as we save an area from the jaws of Mr. Bulldozer.

I was just in Atlanta last week. managed to squeeze in a few evenings of climbing.

Boat Rock is a sweet little place about 20min from downtown atlanta.

Anyone in the area should definetly check it out.

Hoyne, that's because you can skip through the problem and just reach up for the last hold.

Hmm. Those categories for ratings seem a bit odd.

so far it's looking good.

all you snow birds up north.. looking for an excuse to come down and bask in the sun and do a little climbing.. this is a good excuse (plus you can help save a crag).

thanks for your support!

Haha! That's my beef with bouldering. The easiest grade is too hard for me.
