Too bad there is not a member of the Rastafarian Party to vote for... that would be my choice for sure!

Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray that Kerry's lead will keep.
And if Bush wins before I wake.
I pray the Lord my soul to take. :P

I am addicted to CNN's electoral/popular vote map. :?

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

I'm going to try to go to sleep now. Right now I'm thinking "It's all the fault of you assholes in Ohio..." (Yeah, I know that most of the buckeyes who post here voted for Kerry, but, damnit, there don't appear to be enough of you!) WTF is with Miami county - isn't the university there? How did that go 67% for Bush? As I'm calling it quits, Bush is up 100k votes with 92% of the precincts reporting. It's still possible for Kerry to make up the gap, but it's not looking good.

The people I really blame are my 'friends' Ed and Jill, both of whom are from Columbus and COULD have stayed registered in OH. Their 2 votes might make all the difference. Bastards!

In general, I don't get how with all the newly registered voters and the high turnout, that Bush is doing as well as he is. How did the exit polling (which is certainly sketchy!) turn out to be so far off? Is something fishy going on?

I spoke with a friend of mine tonight. He often does election monitoring in places like Yugoslavia. He is, of course, in Florida. He couldn't discuss wether he saw election fraud while things were still going on, but I'll be very interested to hear about what he saw there. With OH so close, it will be interesting to hear about what was done to suppress turnout and intimidate voters there. A little thuggery here and a little intimidation there combined with some "Don't forget to vote on Wednesday the 3rd!" could have been all that was required ....

Understand what happened here. Our Democratic party nominated a phony to run for the most important political office in the world. Look at a map of the red and blue states and you'll see what you already know. Slick sophistication might be enough for voters on the coasts, but people in the heartland want to know where their elected leaders stand. Kerry never had the courage or commitment to stake out a definable position on any issue other than "I want to be perfectly clear about the fact that I am other than Bush." Until my party starts to take politics and the electorate seriously, and shitcans Michael Moore and the rest of the Hollywood airheads, we will continue to loose position nationally.
