Slumber Party for all you girl climbers out there

Post by chester »

Hey,
Was wondering since it's so damn cold, if the gals would like to have a slumber party? Just like when we were kids (except alcohol and stuff) 8)
I'll be willing to host it if y'all don't mind heading north...can make it on a Friday or Saturday night, whatever is better.

dang that sounds FUN! If you do it on a Saturday night and I'm not still crippled AND I can arrange childcare (and if Jupiter is aligned with Mars and the moon is full..) I'm there. Seriously, though, I would definitely try to make it!

Chester, you didn't have alcohol at your slumber parties in high school?? We sure did! Of course back when I was a kid it was way too easy to buy beer and liquor in the Washington, D.C. area, even at the tender age of 16.

Ah, yes - having the 'girls' (at that age, they were girls) buy the booze. The convenience store guys would invariably suggest, "you girls come back after you've drunk that...." Charming, no? In high school, my neighborhood liquor store would sell to anyone old enough to walk. We knew it was all over when we started running into people we knew who had driven 40 minutes into the big, scary city from the 'burbs to buy.

As much as we fellows on the board are all in touch with our inner woman, it's the rest of us that would be out of place at such a party (we might pay good money for video, though  )

What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

I'll be there! I am out of town that last weekend in January. So let me know when you want to get together!
Just genuinely disengenuous.
