Beetles, of the ladybug-like kind

Post by Wes »

So, we have been invaded by the little fuckers again. They pretty much covered Roadside today, and yes they do kinda *bit* or something. But, mostly they just swarm you, Hope they are gone by the time I am back in the red.

Whoa! Don't hurt them or you might be born again as a beetle!

I SWEAR my daughter was a reptile in her past life. We laugh because her fingers and toes have more "webbing" (or whatever you want to call it) than normal and she is more placate in the water than on land. You never know! ;)

They swarmed us pretty much sunday at roadside. looks like they survived the winter pretty well and have become implanted into their new home. They weren't as bad as last year - in the 100's sometimes - but they are still kinda pesky in the dozens. Some of them do bite but they don't eat much.

They were swarming me up on sunny ledges at The Glass by late Sunday afternoon. I kinda like when they fly down my shirt or up my pants. It tickles in that funny sorta way.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

Man, I hate those things. Last week they were biting the hell out of me. I hope they all die. They're non-native evil bitey things.

Yeah I had to kill a couple mosquitos this weekend... their death tally wasn't nearly as high as that of the ladybug imposters, though. Those things were everywhere.

Is the West Nile disease still running rampant? Some couple had a mosquito repellant burning all day Saturday out of fear of West Nile.
