Living in the hood isn't a badge of courage. Its a badge of "I'm not talented or hardworking enough to get the fuck out".

Shouldn't you be working on your reply, since it took me a day or so, and you're startin to look bad???

And my post had nothing to do with gunfire. Not in the slightest. You need professional help.

You want excitement? Walk thru the Hood at 2a.m. with a shirt on that says "I Rap"
The Hood? I live in the hood. Tomorrow afternoon I'll get up on my garage roof and take you a picture. I bet your lilly white ass has never been in a hood like this. Funny thing is I lived in a "nice, quiet" neighborhood in New Orleans for almost a decade and I heard a lot more gunfire there. AKs, Glocks, Uzis, shotguns were often heard being emptied into the air. New Years Eve in Savannah in the "Hood" was one of the craziest things ever. I've got a tape of it somewhere. You can hear bullets coming down through the trees.
You live in Louisville Kentucky. There is no hood there that compares with Over the Rhine. Quit being a dumbass.

I've invested in a piece of residential/commercial property that was supposed to have the new light rail line running right in front of it. Thanks to Bush that won't happen now so I'm just trying to flip the house for any profit I can get. You can walk one block from here and find crack dealers 24/7. Behind my building is a housing project and my little friends from there tell me if you go to the next block of projects "they'll hit you for no reason." Excuse me for trying to improve part of the inner city. I guess people that volunteer for Habitat for Humanity are losers as well, huh?

I know reading comprehension is not high on your list there, Odub, but if you'll carefully re-read you'll see I was comparing the level of violence where I've lived in the past (in "nice" neighborhoods in New Orleans and Savannah) to the rather sedate condition of the "hood" here in the biggest city in KY. What I'm sayin' is you don't know shit about walkin' through the "hood" so shut the fuck up with your bullshit. Too bad your only means of judging people is their spray list on this site and how high on the income ladder they stand. Stupid fucker. When you've taken on some real responsiblity, risks, and burdens in life instead of just being a loud mouthed little punk with a computer and a rope, get back to me.

What am I doing? Those sentences were all longer than you can handle. Let me break it down for you: You're a wannabe. Fuck off.

And as far as the come-back goes, I still haven't tracked the lyrics but they're all rehearsed and ready to go. Then I've got some guitar tracks to add and some samples to grab. I tend a little more towards Public Enemy than Justin Timberlake like you. I'm actually recording music for my backing tracks instead of using some cookie cutter loops. I've never seen anyone so impatient for an ass whooping in my life.

Alan, please explain to me, in technical terms, the difference between Timberlake and Public Enemy. 'Cause I really want to know. And I don't mean 'well, timbe sucks and Public Enemy is the coolest.'

I mean true analysis. Give me a quantifiable difference.

Quantifiable? Well, on a scale of one to ten Public Enemy is a ten and Justin Timberlake sucks shit. Odub is more like though not as bad as Justin Timberlake. I am more like bit nowhere near as good as Public Enemy.

Boyeeeeeee.

Dammit! I've only heard gunfire twice here in Louisville since 2000 when I moved here. In New Orleans I heard it at least twice a week. Usually amazingly big magazines being emptied by fully automatic weapons. Sometimes you'd hear a semi-automatic pistol or shotgun being fired but usually it was the even sound of an uzi or an AK. The guns were three or four blocks from my house and I lived in a really nice part of town. New Orleans is weird like that. Take a wrong turn and you hear, "Hey whiteboy, what the fuck you doin' up in here?" To which you need to say, "Goin' to see my mama and dem" or something like that.

I heard a lot of guns in Savannah as well but that place is a shithole. Fuck Savannah. Fuck it with a Dixie flagpole.

My point was I live in a rough part of Louisville and it ain't shit so some white boy with a beanie and a computer in his bedroom at his mama's ain't dealin' with the fucking 'hood and shouldn't talk like he is. Can't you fucking read?!?
