Real Americans don't get AIDS. That's only sinners and queers that get AIDS. Haven't you been reading the Christian Coalition website? As we all know Cheney is a member of the CC and Edwards is afraid of them.
Did you know the only book available in the Grand Canyon gift shop that explains the creation of the Canyon is a Creationist text? Isn't that amazing? Let's just toss out billions of pages of scientific enquiry, by millions of people, using the scientific method of peer reviewed research for a literal interpretation of a religious text! That's how the President believes it happened so that's the only version of the story we're gonna sell.
And while I'm on it, has anyone seen the "pectoglyphs" of dinosaurs that are supposed to be proof they existed at the same time as humans? I've studied those forms quite a bit and have studied them in person. The "dinosaur" pectoglyphs look like a line drawing of a Flintstones dinosaur! Nothing like the real thing. Nothing around there even vaguely resembles the style. It's bad enough to try to force such a ridiculous explanation for the history of the universe upon others but to then vandalize rock art with cartoons and present fraud pottery as authentic is just below contempt. When your theory is so laughable you have to lie to "prove" it it's time to just shut the fuck up and keep that crap to yourself. You don't see the flat-earth people trying to get their theory taught in schools, do you? They know they're wrong but they must believe because it says in the Bible the world is flat.
And the space program is all a fraud, too.
So anyway, Cheney is one of those people who can lie to themselves so well they believe their own lies. Everything is great in Iraq. The canyons of the west were created in a few days by the Great Flood. Our ancestors froliced with Barney. Except Barney is gay. There weren't gay people (or dinosaurs) until Satan got into the picture. Right?! So we were frolicing with a T.Rex... Apparently they've never seen Jurassic Park, have they? Man. I was afraid of puddles after that movie. Teach me to go see it loaded on substances.
So, yeah. Cheney is evil incarnate. His speech at the RNC is almost a perfect copy of a Goebbel's speech introducing Hitler at a convention (quoted from an e-mail):

Never in the history of the world has any soldier sacrificed more for the
freedom and liberty of total strangers than the German soldier. And our
soldiers don't just give freedom abroad; they preserve it for us here at

no I have not been reading the Christian Coalitions website, but I did again read Yvon Chouinard's environmental piece( its on Rockclimbing.com) it is very well written and has along with most every other issue in our country steered me toward the Kerry/Edwards camp, I just thought Edwards would be better than he was due to his professional background

i could only find one instance of when cheney flat out wouldn't respond to edwards. there was another time when he didn't say much but that was mostly because edwards stated what cheney's case is on gay marriage and cheney's only choices were to repeat edwards or to thank him: he chose to thank him.

I've never been to the Grand Canyon though I've spent a lot of time in the Red Rocks Primitive area in the southeastern corner of Utah. I would imagine the San Juan empties into the Colorado before the Grand Canyon. The whole mystery of the Anasazi (or pre-Pueblos or "ancient ones") and their dissappearance is so huge. That's not including all the weird cowboy/conquistador/miner/pioneer stuff that swept through that part of the country.
