it was Edwards who had that oh did you catch me with a dick in my mouth look during the debate although, seems they both suffered from a little lack of truthfulness, if Edwards has made a fortune as a trial lawyer he certainly never faced a very good lawyer in a courtroom- Round 2 to Chaney but I doubt it will outweigh Kerry's Round 1 victory over Bush,

I disagree. To me it seemed a tie though if actually answering (or attempting to answer) the questions is a criteria, Cheney lost hands down. Then again, if you ever watch this administration they never answer a question. They just repeat the same tired rhetoric they always do whether it has anything to do with the question or not. I saw Cuntoleeza Rice on Meet the Press on Sunday and George Stephelopolus (or however it's spelled) asked her the same exact question three times in a row and she never anwered it. Amazing that anyone can trust these people.

i think that the debate was fairly well matched. as AE pointed out, cheney's typical response was to say "i have nothing further to say about that." it is quite easy to have nothing to criticize him on if he doesn't say anything in the first place.

yes, i was hoping for a better performance from edwards. however i still think he did an okay job.

did anyone else notice how they both effectively evaded answering "what are you going to do about AIDS in the US? let's not talk about the world here."...
