should I learn how to top out before I go?
There are at least 10 of us coming from cincy...
how early is everyone going...my boss said I could have the whole day off on Fri....so eric and I are headed down early...but none of the rest of our group is leaving till after work...
...also, are we allowed to climb on Sun?

you could, but there's nothing like learning to top out on actual rock once you get the gist of it, the same formula is applied much of the time (with small variations, of course).longlegsrule wrote: should I learn how to top out before I go?

Hound Ears is only open to climbing, officially, the day of the comp itself. however, there's plenty to climb in the Boone area outside of that. last year I went to Grandmother Mountain the day after. loved it!

If you all get there early, check out Becon hights, and that will get you a warm up day for hound ear's. Just make sure to keep as much skin on your tips as you can, as hound ear's is kinda sharp.
Climbing Sunday for sure, assuming my tips are not just bloody stumps like they were after LRC.
We will have a killer crew of rrg climbers there this year for sure.
