Putting the guide on my phone

Post by Huggybone »

I have a LG phone, with 600 kb for multi media storage. as a text only file, the guide is 400 or so kb. How can I get that info on my phone?

Huggybone, if I see you climbing with your cell phone, I'll knock you off the cliff.

I put the guide on my PDA as a text file. The problem is that the HTML links at the top that move you down to different crags don't work. It can get pretty hard to find the section of the guidebook you're looking for unless you have some way to search the text document for a specific name to start your browsing.

if your pda has a web browser it should work "ok". When I had it on mine it loaded so slow I thought it blew through all my memory and crashed it.
Screw you guys. I'm going bowling.

What Huggy needs is a heads up display device on his helmet so he can constantly consult the guidebook as he climbs.

I kind of like that idea. Maybe it could even tell me where the good holds are and project a hologram on the rock with signs like "little crimp here", "chalk up here", and "bad sloper covered in chalk that only looks like a decent hold from below".

go to 3gdownload. They might be able to help you with your incompetence.
One of these days I will just walk out to some secluded crag in the red and hang my self will my favorite hex and my old climbing rope; and the paper will read "Climber falls and dies using primitive gear." But that's not how I want to be remembered.

Hey man, I hav't even taken my guidbook for a long time. But, I have my phone cause it has the time on it. So, If I can put it on, then I can find all those remote and obscure climbs. Its lighter than taking the guidebook, takes less space, and I won't forget it.

But I don't take it up with me.
