Muir Valley rave

Post by Zspider »

I started seeing rumors about Muir Valley several months ago. About a month ago I found somebody who knew how to get there and we went out to Great Wall and had fantastic time on some great climbs.

Last weekend Larry and I went over to the 5.10 wall and did the five climbs in that area and it was pure heaven. After all the sandbagged desperates I've seen in the Gorge, it was a joy to climb on clean, well-bolted rock. We went over to the Indy Wall and I took a beating on an 11 and a 10, but I still loved it and can't wait to go back. WAHOOO! YEAH!

Thanks to the Webers, the developers, and the unsinkable Tim Powers for all their efforts. I took some pictures that I wanted to post, but it looks like I have to upload them elsewhere and link to them here. I'll work on that. I did manage to upload a picture of me to my profile.

I also had a great time at Muir last weekend. My buddy Andy and I climbed some of the easy trad routes down there and had a great time. Found a really cool 5.7:

that I thought was classic. The Webers and the Muir Valley team rock!
