What's the big hype about Muir Valley. Personally, I think the place is a joke! I was there a few days ago and five large holds broke off some routes that didn't even look that appettizing. Why do people continue to bolt random chosspiles just so they can say that they put up a route and "benefited the climbing community." This is pompus BS! That place called the Sanctuary was especially dissapointing...I was told there was some amazing routes there but most of them were horribly bolted and unattractive. Everyone say "I" who wants a decent route put up every once in awhile. peace

If "Shredder" were a real person expressing a real opinion, the comments should be taken seriously. I suspect that "Shredder" is, however, a troll. And, his assessment is nothing more than diatribe composed to foment nasty exchanges of insults and counter insults. The posting also confuses and misinforms persons not in tune with this form of cyber horseplay.

This could be a great website. The guides are excellent, as are most of the posts.

Ray, have you thought of spitting this into two websites -- one for rational humans who communicate respectfully with each other, and another one for those who get off on this kind of mean-spirited childish nonsense?

It is fairly safe to assume "shredder" is indeed (and probably in most public forums),........just a troll. The day it/he/or she posted (9-3-04, ie two days ago) with only one entry .....

Gumby, prick, supposedly humorous expressionist? Who cares?........Obviously, Your cup is either "half full" or at a minimum......."half not there!"

Personally, my cup is 3/4 full on a bad day and all the people who really matter in my life stive for this ATTENTION.

The owner's of this property are bending over backwards to help US.........climb on new routes, hike, see new snakes, bear skat, watch the turkey's, etc.

Your diatribe goes beyond ...........tonow, today or even tomorrow. It is unfortunate that the owners of this GIFT (to us) have to read your dribble.

What if your sarcasim leads to access issues, closure, what-ever......simply, shut up and NEVER COME BACK!
