Fuzzy beta?

Post by Zspider »

I got on Fuzzy Undercling after about 5 years away and when I got up to the no-hands rest, I felt like a total idiot. I couldn't get my knee under it right so that I didn't have to hold on. What was I doing wrong? I think I had my foot out in front of me. Do I need to have it tucked up under me sorta sitting on it?

Thanks, ZSpider

Uhhhhhh?

Maybe its because you weren't spending as much time posting on forums 5 years ago.
Oh man, he is messing that up. However, he is missing his left leg so that way would probably be harder for him. SCIN, just before spraying some beta for a climber doing a route the WRONG way.

I don't put my knee under that flake, I just sorta sit down and wedge my shoulder under it.

Hey Zspider, aren't you suppose to be working? I think my tax dollars are already being spread thin enough!

Hmm... Are you joking? That put's a whole new twist on it. I'm scared I'm gonna get up there and jack around and blow my chances for redpointing the thing. The last time I was on it I worked through the beginning. There's so darn much chalk on it that it's hard to tell what to do.

Thanks for commenting, Wes.

ZSpider, I actually lie down. You can stem out with your other foot and kinda hang out up there. Of course, I've never Redpointed it.

Nah. Haven't had a job since I got laid off from McDonald's three years ago. Hey! Didn't you and Larry climb with Gary a month or so ago? I want to talk to Gary and see if he wants to climb at the Red next weekend. Could you do me a favor and let him know I'm looking for him.

My knee doesn't even reach the rock with my foot on the ledge, but i can just turn sideways and sit down, holding on with minimal effort
