good to hear from you spragwa! i was just there w/ the rest of the crowd labor day weekend. good weather all weekend, too. give me a holler whenever you're there. i'll be there sept. 17-19.
i talked w/ some ppl about hueco. sounds like i'll need some money (an understatement, of course). if money is too big of an issue for me, i might think about hp 40 instead. i'm so broke!

HP-40 will cost about the same as Hueco, and you would have a lot less to do there (problems and rest day stuff).
The cheapest place to winter these days is Bishop, or maybe Potrero. J-tree, but they are charging for camping there now.
You could also tour the southeast, and just camp here and there. But, you end up spending a lot in gas.
Nope, for me, Hueco pretty much rules. If you get down there early enough, you might be able to work at the rock ranch for free camping.
