The GATHERing Muir Valley trail day that Karla and Jared conceived is really gathering steam. Over one hundred volunteers have indicated they will attend.
Some important reminders here… Saturday, September 18 is the work day. Sunday is the rain day, and if Saturday is dry, the climbing day.
Please contact Karla (Squeezindlemmon) or Jared (J-Rock) if you are coming and haven’t yet indicated so on this forum. The original announcement is under the heading: “Sticky: [Poll] The GATHERing, Muir Valley”
Saturday evening, we will provide plenty of good food, soft drinks, and a fine local bluegrass group to entertain with live music around the campfire.
It would be helpful if you could bring any trail building tools such as flat-bladed shovels, mattocks, rakes, hoes, lobbers, pruning saws, work gloves, and your drinking water. We will arrange to have some on hand if you do not have them available. Also, if you have a folding chair, bring it for Saturday evening.
Looks like it'll be a fun weekend. Hope to meet many new friends.
