Mr. Obvious Says.......

Post by SCIN »

When you see your Network Administrator walking in with his bag of lunch, obviously ready to go back into his dungeon and eat, don't stop him and ask him a hundred questions about why your computer is acting strange.

Jeezus....sometimes I wish I had a little tunnel system to walk around in.

in situations like these, pretending to have Tourette's can come in pretty handy.

Miss Obvious adds:

And after you have followed the Admin from the door to where she/he sits, and when the Admin sits down with their bag of lunch (in his/her 3-walled padded cell 4 cubes away from a window)...and has a mouthful of food and headphones on (escaping to the beautiful sounds of The Pixies)...It IS bothering us too much to do a little favor.

You would think a Network Administrator would have his own personal onterage of ninja bodyguards.
Not a bitch.

He does! They are all his cyber ninja bodyguards. Protector from all cyber boobs who don't have a clue. What's needed is a seat to have these people sit down in that happens to be wired, activated by a switch controlled by the Network Administrator. This way, he can provide anyone bothering him with a graphic demonstration of just what a pain in the ass they are for interrupting his personal time.

Sort of like Pavlov's dog type of thing. Come visit the Network Administrator - Get shocked! How unfortunate for the slower learners.

One guy where I used to work made a "Do not disturb, eating Lunch" sign that he would hang across his back when trying to eat.

I usually just leave for lunch. Adult Recess and all.
