I've had L.S. before (which type, I don't remember) and they were great for my very narrow foot. However, I wear 5.10 Anasazis and dig those way more than any other shoes right now.

P.S. My size was the same for the shoes.

I have had both 5.10 Anasazi's & various Sportiva's. My 5.10's were 42 EUR and Sportiva's 40 EUR.

I find L.S. sizes run small. I wear a 43 for 510 and I wear a 40 for L.S.

Are you looking @ the Mantra or the Mantra-S? John K. had a pair of Mantra's and said he liked them but I do think they will blow out more quickly than other options. I am not sure what exactly you are looking for in a shoe but wonder why you are not interested in Katana's? I recently switched from Anasazi velcros to Cobras for bouldering but am thinking of getting Katanas for my next shoe because I have talked to a number of people who like them.

Try out some La Sportiva Testarossas. They are the most amazing climbing shoes I have ever owned. I used to be very impresssed with the Miuras but the Testarossas are considerably better.
When you cinch the Testarossas down they conform to your foot like they were made for you. I have slightly wide feet but I don't think that is much an issue with these shoes.

That's OK for someone like you Doc that has the Big Bucks. There is a reason they call the Testarossa's, "Ferraris for the feet". All kidding aside, I did try them out at a demo and they are sweet but just a little pricey. Also, I think that LLR is looking for a bouldering shoe and for that lace ups are a little cumbersome.

I swear by my La Sportiva Muira's. I have a low volume foot and they work far better than any shoe I've ever had, though I've never tried the Testarossa's. I just figure they're a good bit more expensive than the Muira's, and not that it should matter but they have to be the ugliest shoe on the market.
