Yep, I am sure there are legal type things that need to be taken care of. But, if we can set in writing what is expected, then hopefully, it will be OK.

Meetings are OK, but I think we should try to do some groundwork via email and here first. That way the meeting will be just final plans kinda thing.

The Mandala and I are in for sure. We would definitely kick for a monthly fee sort of thing and lend any help needed in design, building, planning etc. I've built several walls before and would love to help out, I've got plenty of tools and elbow grease. BTW, I just talked to P2U, Jeremiah, and Jeremy and they would all chip in time and $$$.

Lets just get this thing rolling so we can start climbing!!

I was just looking into joining Lexington Rocks to: 1.) Help build strength, and 2.) to meet some more climbers. It's sad to hear that it closed. Even though I don't know any of you guys, I would be interested in a bouldering or climbing gym co-op. Sounds like a great idea.

I've climbed at the Stadium a few times, but it's as far as the Red for me. Unlimited climbing is $10. There is a tower right in the front door. Eric runs laps on this tower, but he doesn't use the holds at all. Hence, Eric can run up 11s  . Dipsi uses the holds  , but I must admit it has helped me!

Winterstorm (gone, but not forgotten) helped erect this tower. A PM to him might be helpful.

A co-op is a great idea! Count me in for $$$ and anything else I can do to help. Having seen all the interested parties on this thread, maybe, maybe, maybe I could finally overcome overhung! I would attend a meeting.
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

I built a home gym several years ago. It is a lot of work because I did most of it myself. It was kinda expensive but I've enjoyed backyard bouldering for a long time on it. I used 15 sheets of plywood to cover it. I have two main walls, two aretes, two roofs, and a fifteen rung campus board. I've got about 300 holds on it and 200 more in reserve in the tool shed. The whole thing is a free standing module in my backyard. I put hanging baskets on it in the summer so it gives it that arbor look and my neighbors have never said anything bad about it. I'd be glad to help you all to build a co-op gym. I've got everything tool-wise except a table saw. I'm pretty good at framing trusses. I have a good recipie for wall texture that's pretty cheap too. I don't live in Lexington so I wouldn't be able to join and attend regularly. But I'd be glad to donate whatever skills-labor you need to get going - just let me in to boulder whenever I stop by.

Man, just a thought, but I would love to have 1 lead wall. An overhanging juggy lead. Just so I can keep my lead-head in check druing the offseason. Just a thought though.
