hey,

I finnally have a pretty good tentative schedule worked out for my roadtrip. I posted it here:

http://people.cs.uchicago.edu/~mpschaef/

I hope to keep it updated from the road. If anyone is going to be out west, near where I am at, definately email or call me and we can hook up for a day of climbing.

Aw man merrick, I forgot to give you those directions! I'll try to send them to you before you leave.

Merrick, there's a chance I'll be in Potrero when you are. I'll get in touch with you if we decide to head down there. Otherwise I'll be in Joshua Tree that week.

Have a great time road tripping!

I feel like crap, but thanks for asking. I'm getting extreme on my quest for pain relief but I'm afraid my mind is going. As soon as I am better, I want to get back to my training, very slowly this time though. I figure the February trip will be my first chance to get back on the rock unless I recover quicker than usual. Bah! Getting older rots. All those indiscretions of my youth are haunting me now.

So my travel dates are Feb. 15-20 or 22, nothing else is firm. We are considering Josh and Potrero. I'll check up on you when we pull our heads out. If the planets and our plans align, I'll get in touch. It would be especially cool to see you in Potrero since I have never been and my Spanish sucks. At least you would understand me! "Ayudeme por favor. Yo he perdido mi mente!"

Are there any cracks at all down there? Where will you stay in Potrero - Homero's? Mel's? Someplace else? I hear poor Mel's place isn't fairing so well since Curt's smear campaign (justified or not..).

I cant wait to get back on the road, especially climbing with Merrick. This season has been a rough one back east. The weather, health, work, it driving me crazy. The road spoils the hell out of you. I say we meet in Hueco, travel up and hit southern CO maybe UT then J-tree and finish up and get part time jobs in bishop, then who knows from there.
