I was all packed up & on my way down to the Red Sat. evening when something in the drive train to my van dropped. So I never made it to the CAC meeting, or to Miguel's afterwards, and didn't get to climb on Sun. With nothing better to do on Sun., I was doing some yard work and got stung by a bee in the ear.

I got halfway up the Daddy in NC and got torrentially rained upon. 5 easy turned into 5 hard. Then my transmission went out on the way out of Linville Gorge. But, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

Yeah, stinging/biting animals suck. Horatio and I decided today that we're going to build a biodome over the Red, and within it we're going to outlaw any animals that sting or bite, and we're going to set the temperature at a constant 70 degrees with 0 humidity. All in favor...?

So that's what you guys were chatting about this morning! I vote for 60 degrees. Love the part about no animals that sting or bite, but we don't have to worry anyway if we climb with good-karma Wes.
