I heard it was a multi-level garage with daily, weekly, and monthly rates. They have a few meters too, but you have to get to them early.Johnny wrote:Define "parking area". Are you talking about a paved lot with stripes and curbs with a sign from Charmane that says "Welcome Climbers!". Or are you seeing a flat dirt area that is located on Charmane's property?
New Parking Areas in the Preserve?
Artsay, thanks for asking the question. I've heard the same stuff too but don't like to post b/c of being viewed as an RRGCC antagonist.
Now you see why. Ask a question and get called all kinds of names with a lot of inuendo thrown in. Oh and a fresh sarcastic post to encourage climbers to believe that there are rampant conspiracy theorists running about.

Yea, I think that much is obvious. It's just with all these rumors spreading so quickly I was just curious what others knew/heard and what I should believe.Johnny wrote:Artsay, Charmane has consistently done everything it can to thwart the RRGCC and mistreat climbers. Nothing has changed. We're still in litigation.
Do you know anything factual about this situation that you can share? Did Charmane really build these parking areas for climbers to use?

Thank you Johnny for your diplomatic response. Spragwa, your reason for not wanting to ask a question on redriverclimbing.com about RRGCC matters is the same reason that the RRGCC as an official organization does not want to respond to such questions here and has maintained it's own forum. When it comes to the RRGCC, please ask your sincere questions there and post your sincere discussions there.Johnny wrote:Artsay, Charmane has consistently done everything it can to thwart the RRGCC and mistreat climbers. Never mind what I was going to say. The important issue here is that Artsay posted a very appropriate question. If the RRGCC doesn't want to answer it here that's fine. If they answer it on rrgcc.org since Captain posted it on there for her, then I'm sure that someone will post it here.
Captain, suffice it to say that I won't post questions or rumors on rrgcc.org or here. I will let them fester instead.

I am sorry to here that you won't post your questions or concerns on the RRGCC sites. That is where we are trying to be straight forward & sincere. Qualities that are at best fleeting on this site.

And how many hits a day does that site get? Esp. on days when it isn't mentioned or linked from here? If you want people to know things, then you post them here, or at least a link to the rrgcc site. The only difference is that the content can be better controlled over there.captain static wrote:That is where we are trying to be straight forward & sincere. Oh, and if you are so unhappy with the quality of this site, I will be glad to kill your account. Bitch.

That's a stab, Bill. You are most welcome to leave this site if you like. And for the future, please refrain from copying my posts on another site. If I wanted to voice my opinion there I would. I wanted the opinions of the folks on THIS board.
