Disappointed

Post by goodguy »

This will be my final attempt to see if there are any REAL SPORT CLIMBERS left in the red.

Just to catch everyone up, I put up this line at Solar called "Gecko Circus"
I left draws on it, left it as an OPEN project and still no one has even tried to send this thing. I know the first response would be to assume that this route must be a Pile, but on the contrary it is actually really good. Not to mention it probably goes at around 13a(which shouldn't be that bad for all you so called hard climbers). So without any more rambling I would like to make my final offer to the real sport climbers out there and invite anyone to give this thing a go and see if it can be sent sometime this decade.

Having lost all faith,

Oh man, he is messing that up. However, he is missing his left leg so that way would probably be harder for him. SCIN, just before spraying some beta for a climber doing a route the WRONG way.

If it makes you feel any better,
I tried to send this thing a while ago, if you consider getting on it twice "trying to send it". I'll agree that it was quite good, although kind of inconsistent, and had really fun climbing above and below the blank crux section. I also noticed to my disapointment that it appeared to have been chipped, and further disappointing was that the chipping didn't even make it go.
I'd be surprised if this thing goes at 13a without being chipped more but I'm probably not the best judge of grade.

Somebody will do it sometime but I wouldn't hold your breath.

if it was chipped then the chipped hold would have been seaping really bad? example: paranoia and golden touch

Are you not projecting this route, Goodguy? I understand it's an open proj., just wondering if you were workin' it too.

i am sure i can not do this route, but i will be happy to rap down it and add your quickdraws to my pile of old booty. if that would make you feel better about the climbers in the red.
because i can

If it has been chipped than I will remove the draws. I have done all the moves on this line and it will go just not quickly for me. While working this line with a friend a hold broke, I just hope this is what the chipped hold is. It would be a right hand side-pull/undercling between the the 2nd and 3rd bolts. Any further insight as to the chipped hold in question would be greatly appreciated.

I saw it and I think it would be right at home in J-Tree or maybe eldo canyon. Unfortunately, I have about 50-60 other routes in that range that I need to climb first but at that point I may just have what it takes to ascend that slab to reach the treasure

I will be at the red for two weeks starting next sunday. I'll give the thing a few burns and see if it is in my league. How hard is that thing? Any routes comparable to it?
