Not sure I want to put any more money into it. Might just do the rental thing to get home. Won't have enough money to get it taken care of, and still do the trip.

Yep, on the way home now via greyhound. Pick up a car, then back to KS to get my stuff, then drive back to KY.

For sure. I mean, $500 for 55K miles, 3 months out west, 5 weeks in Hueco, several trips to NC, and TN, plus just about every other weekend in the red. Nope, not all that bumed at all. Just wish it would have died in the south, so as to give it a proper send off...

BTW, anyone else have a $500 car for sale that will do as well as the last one?

Oh, and the trip wasn't a total wash, I did spend an hour bouldering in KS. Worthy of a stop if you need a break on the drive.
