Hey Capt, what's up at Phantasia? At the crag proper or along the road by the crag?
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

There are a few of them right at the side of the road. Actually there are slides all over the place. They did a good job of clearing the roads though. A lot of ditches are filled and the water is diverted onto the roads and wherever else it can find its' way.
What am I telling you all this for Steve?
You're down there more than I am  .

Eden Park is for Buckeyes.

Hike in from the end of the road or from 713 in Menifee County. Stop being pansies.

Thanx for the post about 9 Sandy. I'm bummed. I knew that's how it would go.

How far of a drive was it? Is it possible to back pack in?

Let's all give Phillip a big hand here. He made a post with no spelling errors! Seriously, I don't think there would be a problem hiking back in there. It's about a mile from the paved road down to the first crag, Pebble Beach.

Yargh!

My first time on SR9 was this weekend. It was a fun little hike. I caught me two little crawfish in the roadside creek thingie. :D

I biked all the way to the ford just before Purple Valley and back last night and it took me only 40 minutes round trip. The road is mostly passable for cars, except the one big slide about a quarter mile from the paved road. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's a great bike ride right now though, no worries about getting hit by some drunk redneck.
