Life is Grand

Post by GWG »

It is now 1:00 Friday afternoon and I am out of here. Durning the summer, my company allows us to come in early Monday thru Thursday in order to take off early on Friday.

It's a beautiful day, a nice cool breeze is blowing, and I'm headed home to be with my lovely bride.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend.

It is now 1:40 Friday afternoon and I am out of here. I don't have a real job, so I am not working today.

Is is a rainy, overcast day. The power went out. I am going to get high, slightly drunk, and go see the new Harry Potter movie.

Have an unsober weekend.

I'm sitting on the couch..going to climb but woke up too tired to bother. The suit and a haircut missed today's weather anyway. Worn out from covering severe weather.
On the bright side yesterday was kinda fun. Flew over the Gorge on the way to and from Magoffin County. We cruised right over Purple Vally, IC, and Mariba on the way down. Directly over Gladie, Indian Staircase, back side of Fortress/Long Wall etc on the way back. What a freakin' awesome trip. It was seven years ago when I last flew over that area...scary how you can actually seen some changes from that high up (Indian Staircase area looks trashed and dunuded from the air..just like from the ground). When we flew over Hamburg I wished the Blackhawk was armed, it would've been fun to blow up urban sprawl. On the dull side it would suck to be flooded out or hit by a tornado...especially if you don't have insurance.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

That is scary. On the plus side, it does look like it's cresting....

For me, it's Friday, 2:01 Chicago time, and I'll be here slogging away probably until about 7:00 pm. Ah, the joys of having your boss promise stuff to clients without asking you how long the work will actually take. But it looks really nice and sunny out the window!
