Joe's name was not even on the ballot...I thought that was kind of odd...also thought it was odd that they turned away Joe's offer to help and gave double duty to another...

I think the nominees were supposed to let Shannon know way in advance if they are running so she can include their names on the ballot. The names of others who wanted to run (but was not on the ballot) were written on a board near the gear auction display.

Still, 26 votes as a write in is pretty good. He should try again next year, and plan early to get his name on the ballot.

I agree that double duty isn't the best thing. I also think Mark is a good addition.

Yeah, that's just how the cookie crumbles. I don't think Joe took it too hard. But he did want to be on the cac. Oh well...

There was plenty of advanced notice, it wasn't a last minute decision. But - you're right, he's not necessarily discouraged....people who want his help know how to get ahold of him.
