Nice Dhoyne....

But the one I've heard is better....

If God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat....

I have been a vegetarian for about twelve or thirteen years now. I climb as strong or stronger than most people my age. I eat the same things everybody else eats except meat and fish. I never feel like I'm unhealthy there's plenty to eat out there once you get used to it. the only problem is sometimes people season food with little bits of meat like in beans and stuff, it gives me real stomach problems. The longer I'm away from meat the more I see it as an unplesant source of nutriton. I know that most people disagree with me and don't expect anybody to understand the way i eat but I'm pretty happy.

meat protein is a better source of protein and if you are trying to climb hard..5.12 and up you need lots of protein...IMO

But to each their own.

If you choose that path, also take concern with your iron a B-vitamin level. In fact, if you're fairly athletic, you should have your iron level checked 1-2 times/year. That way, you'll also know how much to supplement your diet with iron pills. Getting too much has repurcussions.

Rhunt is right ... meat, especially red meat provides the protein that contains 10 amino acids, 8 of which are necessary for the diets of adults.

I just read that in my Cycling Health and Physiology. It sounds smart

you said it, I didn't..... 8)

meat is over rated.....high protein dieats are crap...

in the past 20 years, we have gave up meat, sugar, caffeine, carbs, salt, fat, blah, blah, blah....yawn....

and we are still a lard ass society....give up meat if you have a moral issue with it..otherwise, life is about moderation in everything...
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
