Break-ins

Post by KenJo »

(here it is again)
On Saturday, May 1, cars were broken into/vandalized at the Motherload parking lot and at Roadside parking lot. As far as I know, noone was caught.
Nothing was stolen from the Motherload cars except a pair of cheap sunglasses; however, one window was broken out of one car, lock damage was done to another, and a third car had its passenger-side handle ripped off.
For the most part, the cars had valubles insides them, but they were not stolen.
I'm not sure if anything was stolen from the Roadside parking lot, but please post if you know anything about it. Two thieves were caught a couple weeks ago, but they're either back at it or it's another set of thieves.
Leave your things at Miguel's, in your tent, instead of in your car. Your car should be empty, doors unlocked, and (weather-permitting), windows rolled down so thieves will not break your windows to get inside and have a look around. OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND

A cd player was stolen from the vehicle that was broken into at Roadside.

I told a state trooper about it on my way back from the lode when I got pulled over, and I think he was going to check it out. But I doubt that's going to make much of a difference.

Would it be illegal to sit in the woods with a gun (maybe a bb or paintball gun) and watch over the parking lot and shoot these guys when they come up to the cars? Because I'm willing to do that. I'd even do that with a real gun, but I don't want to get arrested for killing those assholes.

I still say a valley giant and a #6 tricam will do an excellent job if you want to rough them up.

Just sit just out of sight with a pump action shotgun. You see someone trying something, jack a round into the chamber. If that doesn't stop them then approach with caution, hold them, call the sherrif and wait.
Screw you guys. I'm going bowling.

What should be done:

Bring video camera, nice car with stuff in it, and record the dudes breaking into it. Call police, and follow the robberdudes to wherever they are living. Have police arrest them, and use the video tape in court for further proof.

Or shoot them.

Or you could settle it "Kentucky style" with a good old fashion ass kicking. Bring on the ball bats and golf clubs, gonna be a brawl !!! :x

Why not set up a surveillance video and use the evidence to help them face the consequences of their actions and avoid the legal and karmic consequences of doing violence on the culprits?
Shooting people with paintballs or bb guns may cause an escalation that you are not prepared for.
Remember the movie"Southern Comfort"?
Or to quote an old friend(cop) of mine who shot a guy robbing a store with a knife:
"don't bring a knife to a gun fight"
I try to be a good man but all that comes
of trying is I feel more guilty.

My friends's car was one of several broken into at the Motherlode a few weeks ago. It is true, this guy was caught - and to the best of my knowledge currently custody. My friend is still having stolen items returned to him as the police sort through all the goods. So this is my point, if the most recent thief is still in custody, does anyone find it weird that more keep popping up in his place? Does anyone think this could have anything to do with Charmagne? Or is that too conspiracy theory-ish for everyone?......Maybe I'm just naive about Kentucky ways......
