yes, I 100% agree Sprag....it is a way of feeling like we have it all figured out, more so than the next sap. And it is also partly because I find sooo many things people say (myself included) to be utterly ridiculous.

I saw on the news this morning that Elton John wa calling "American Idol" racist becuase the last remaing black girl as voted off the program. Is that an ignorant statement? I think so, since it is callers who watch the show who do the voting...I have ever seen the show, so maybe I am over assuming here, but isn't that more like a popularity contest....why would Elton say it is racist? Because he is gay and supposedly oppressed? (That was a cynical question to underline the stupidity of his statement)

Like th producer said, the first 5 contestans to go off the show were white, but no one was standing up screaming racism then...my point? Sometimes view s are held without any substance...go sing Elton..do what you do best.
