Stewy911, are you talking about the Gallery? I haven't been there, nor have I heard much about it. All I've heard is that it's a new place and that it's been opened up. the lurkist, I thought you were the one I heard talking about it-- is that the place Stewy's asking about?

There are three new areas opening up in Sore Heel. One is the Gallery. It has actually been there for a year or more. The other two I have seen but should probably be commented on by the folks doing the equiping.

What can you say about the Gallery then? By this I mean what is the nature of the climbing so far, trad, sport, steep, slab, tall, short. I think this may have been what the original poster was after rather than more mud slinging. It's cool to see someone apologize though--

Lurkist, Thanks for all the work you've done, I really enjoyed climbing at SC last fall, very good trails and I had no problem with any of the bolt placements on any of the routes I got on (which included Ethics Police).

I'm glad you don't have a problem with Ethics Police. It's Rob's route anyway (I just used it as an example- no one has EVER had criticism for any of MY bolt placements. Yeah, right....)
It is steep and deep and you will love it completely. Sore Heel is the new shit. It is so mega. Somebody stop me before I spray...

If people would ask for help, they would get it. I am sure there are plenty of people who would want to help develop a new area even if it meant they didn't place a single bolt. It would be great to say you helped open up a new area.

saxman - this is very true

you dont have to place the bolts to be part of a new big thing - some of my best friends are even better friends because of new route development - there is a real since of pride when you help unlock the path going up the rock - or to the rock for that matter

if your not down with hike'n through the rhodo's and searching out new rock - then don't - it's as simple as that
