They should rename this place choster falls. man, this is some terrible climbing for such a hyped up place.

for real man it definitely sucks donkey dick. When I brought my ass there it was trying to get with it the whole time. Plus, that whole place is going to fall over. The only thing softer than the rock are the ratings. If you are looking to add some impressive sounding routes to your CV go there. The hardest route there is 5.9, maybe 5.9+ Seriously, how hard can chossy sandstone be? I mean, if you don't like a hold you just pull on it until it rips out and you can get something better.

I was there this weekend and have a collection of holds i yanked off. The place is way over hyped, but i still stop by when i'm in the area.

You guys are making me glad I've never ventured up there when in Chatta-vegas.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

Sorry you all had to go there. I've been calling it chosters for years. Next time ask me. The sport routes a T-Wall are better. Even Obed is better for clipping bolts. Chosters is all hyped by people from Atlanta and Nashville because there is almost no approach and they can go there and do the same climbs over and over and over...

It sounds like i almost ruined our vacation going to Foster Falls,the guide book
made it sound like a pretty decent area! Is there any other places similarly over
sprayed in Watford's book?I ain't got time to waste.

Why don't you ask about Buzzard and the Obed on the SCC board? Never been to those two so i can't say anything other
than that the Obed is highly touted by those I've known to go there. Only been to Chosters twice and I wasn't impressed by holds breaking off in my hand. I'll probally never return as it isn't worth the drive to me. besides that the only route I saw that interested me (Twist and Shout) had a line of helmet heads on it.
