Post by Wes »

It looks like we will be in HP 40 for Thanksgiving. Anyone else want to come down?

GO TIME, tomorrow. Stopping in Rocktown for a day or so, then on to HP for the rest of the weekend. It is about time, I have not climbed outside since the beginning of November.
No big deal.

Cool, we are doing some much needed laundry right now, back at HP40 later today. We will be there the rest of the weekend, so see you all there. We are camped near the lookout.

Had so much fun climbing there yesterday. Nearly bleeding on three of my tips after only one day 8) Slopers RULE.

Does anyone want to split the cost of a camp site this weekend. We always car camp so whatever tent space there is would be yours. We are trying to save as much money as we can. PM me if you want to split one.

That place rocks, we never made it down there last weekend.

You all should check out this pizza joint in Gadsten (sp?). I don't remember the name, but it was in the downtown and they have a decent beer selection.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

Yep, HP-40 rocks for sure. Great routes, really nice camping. A bit pricey, but pretty much worth it. Ended up with three bleeding tips, three flappers, and a really couple really cool scrapes. Worth a visit for sure. So many classic routes still to do, I think Great White is my new goal for the next couple years....

HP is so sweet. I love it when you go to work after climbing and it hurts to touch the keyboard. You couldnt have asked for better weather or company. Millipede(?) will go down next time!!!!!!!!!!

Did you see the big crimp on the left face of Great White?
I don't think that problem is so classic if that sucker is being "eliminated". I used it and it didn't feel like V7 so I imagine it is an eliminate problem.
