Post by chester »

Looking for a partner for trad climbing this weekend...anyone going down to the Red and wouldn't mind a tag along?

Hey Chester! Climb with us!! I'll be climbing with Winterstorm and Hefe and I don't know who else, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I would love to meet you and climb with you - I've heard so much about you (all good!). How does meeting at the Shell at 9 AM Friday sound? I drive a dark Red Subaru Outback w/roof racks and I'll have a sissy dog with me. Cool?

The only caveat is that if the weather forecast gets ugly, I'm heading to Tennessee. I'll decide Thursday morning.

All right, Chester! I'm looking forward to hanging out with you. This will be big fun!! I haven't heard that Barry will be there, but he's another climber I'd really like to meet. Winterstorm, can't you drag his ass out??

Ynot, I could do another day at Fortress - I didn't get to get on BTFB Sunday so that would be great for me. I wouldn't mind an all/mostly trad weekend, personally! Maybe Roadside Attraction at some point, a hike to Global for Casual Viewing et al, maybe a few trad routes at Phantasia or perhaps we need to get your butt to the Southern Region, hmmmm? Oh Long Wall would be sweet, too! Actually, the truth is, there are literally HUNDREDS of climbs I would be happy doing, so it really doesn't matter. I just remembered that I decided sport doesn't suck, too. So whatever! :D

Ynot, I've led the first pitch of BTFB, but never even climbed the second pitch if you can believe that! That's why I wanted to do it on Sunday, but the days are just never long enough (and besides, we had fun anyway). I really want that view, though!! I've climbed at Global several times and led a few routes over there, but I've yet to get on Casual Viewing, so that's another route that's high on my tick list!

The weather is looking really freaking cold though.. I may still head south. I dunno yet. I will decide Thursday morning.

Merrick, you and Sparky had my ideal day last week. No doubt. 2 climbs high on my tick list plus Bobsledding and a few other nice climbs. That would have been way fun with you two. I was sorry to have missed out.

(The good news is that my son is on his way to better so I am not complaining AT ALL!)

Since I led the first pitch of BTFB, am I at least half a trad climber?? Gimme something here...

i just hope that by the time i see you at that party you will have fixed this problem. just bring a #3 cam and you are set.
