Twilight Zone

Post by SCIN »

Man, it was like the Twilight Zone this weekend. It was the most freakin' gorgeous weekend of the whole year but the gorge was completely empty! Damn. Blue skies, nice breeze. Anybody get out?

Yeah - we had a GREAT day today!! We went to Fortress, had it all to ourselves until a group of something like FIFTEEN people, all together showed up (from Iowa) around noon. They were cool though and it was just a perfect day.

yepper...I climbed with Lynne and most of Team Weenie at Fortess today. Yesterday went to the Southern region with a couple of new friends and we had the whole place to ourselves except for a couple of well known route setters following the sun around the crags. Did some routes at The in-between area and Oil Crack. It was sweet, sun, friction, quiet walls...ended the day with a roaring campfire under the stars!

I got down Friday night and just got back an hour ago-- what an INCREDIBLE trip!!! We were at Torrent on Saturday and Roadside today and though it was a little chilly on Saturday, today was seriously the best weather I've experienced at the Red this entire year. I got to watch the sun set from the anchors of Roadside Attraction too-- can't ask for much more than that! I'm so glad I got down this weekend, what a perfect almost-end to the semester. (I also got to meet Lynne, Sita, and Winterstorm, and see ynot-- that was a really cool unexpected surprise!) :D

Yasmeen, it was great to meet you yesterday! (Guys, look out, she's gorgeous!)

I want to take this opportunity to thank Teem Weenie (aka Team Raunchy) for finding me that 24 year old hot piece of ass from Iowa yesterday. :P

(Guys, look out, she's gorgeous!)

Sunday was awesome, I got killer thumb pump sanding furniture. Working with wood is cool.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.
