Red Rocks spring break trip pics

Post by Yasmeen »

So we just got back from our week-long trip to Red Rocks in Vegas... here's a little visual documentation... http://www.users.muohio.edu/fowleryj/RedRocks.html

It was awesome to bump into Merrick while we were out there! Thanks to him, I was benighted in style during the descent from Black Orpheus. :D And to think, all this time, we were fighting over Loren... peace was finally made.

As far as route recommendations for those of you headed out soon... I'd check out:

Topless Twins (5.9+)
Straight Shooter (5.9+)
Atman (5.10)
The Fox (5.10)
Mushroom People (5.10)
Black Orpheus (5.10, 11 pitches)
Yin and Yang (5.11)

It was cool to check out a new area, but those boulder-strewn approaches made me yearn for the Red and my nice short Sybridge Ridge approach! :P

That's great you guys had fun. Awesome pics too! In case you're wondering I was the guy driving the truck with John and Whitney. Sadly they left this morning, but they had a blast while they were here. You can check out some shot from their trip.

I am going out to Vegas in Sept. on business. I suppose it will be awfully hot at Red Rocks then and may have to opt for Mt. Charleston. Am going to look into have Jason or Tiff guide me.

yay for running into yas, loren, and ryan at redrocks. it was a fun week. after 8 weeks of bouldering every other day, i felt a little over powered but was able to do 7 days on in a row.

looks like you beat me to getting a tr and photos up.

you left out two key phrases though:

yo sex is wak

and

loren...so hot right now.
