Table of Colors
I hear you loud and clear Astroman... I mentioned those other types of climbing in my previous post b/c I have done plenty of adventure climbing... Alpine routes in RMNP, and R rated trad routes in the Red and at Red Rocks, NV. This sport dosen't need to be simplified to the lowest common denominator by stick clipping, but I always say, "I love climbing and want to live/not be injured so I can climb again another day." I guess the older I get the more I practive this. There were days in my past when I would do routes like American Dream without any thing precliped. Hell I used to even solo some stuff, Jaws 5.9+, at SandRock come to mind.... now that was exciting, but dumb, and I don't do stuff like that anymore....It is my personal choice.
Lest we all forget... climbing is a mostly meaningless pursuit that we do for fun.
Piggy, I wont touch rock for the next month and then come down at the end of the day and walk the route, no cheater stack, no pre clipped first or second draw hell take all the draws off and I will send placing the draws and then when I clip the anchors I will down climb the top crux, I know im not weak, im the strongest Allah there is (the only Allah) see you when the time comes
