RRGCC 3, Charmane 0 (as in nada, zippo, etc)

Charmane comes up short yet again. Thanks to the very capable and professional legal advice of Charmane's attorney, Charmane has lost yet another round in the futile and illegal attempt to keep the land owners of the "Murray Property", the RRGCC, off of their land. Retained legal counsel to Charmane Oil Co. came up "short" in yet another bungled handling of the embarassing conflagration she has been the architect in fomenting when on March 3, Charmane was forced into mediation with the RRGCC. http://www.rrgcc.org/index.php?action=v ... cle_id=143
This same mediation has long been resisted by Charmane and will now force Charmane to discuss the salient issues with the RRGCC and work to a common mutually agreeable solution. Local gossip has it that the owner of Charmane is very pleased with the way things are going and plans to include in his portfolio of business dealings a mobile lemonade and barbecue stand to troll the Big Sinking, taking advantage of the influx of climbers visiting the area.

Ya know, even though this whole thing has been a bloody mess for all those involved, there's a positive side in that it really shows how the situation could be totally different if the RRGCC hadn't purchased the land. If everything had gone smoothly, understanding how easily climbers can lose land to climb on wouldn't be as apparent.

Props to those hard working individuals out there making this happen!

Woohoo! Mad props to the RRGCC and to Judge Trude. Now to all of those skeptics who didn't think we could get fair treatment in KY

thanks to foks who made it happen! luckily, I got a good taste of
the SRlast fall as things were heating up. In fact we were definitely some of the last to climb pre-gate at Drive By. The gate went up while we were there the day after we went to OC and Arena.To make a long story short woo woo. Going to 6 new places of that magnitude was unreal, very inspiring. Hopefully, things will be sorted out soon
Anyhoo, i don't usually get hungry until I'm on 11 going north, go figure ...

I'm feeling optimistic too, but I'll save judgement of "getting fair treatment" for about a five-year time frame. So far so good, but it sounds like there's a lot more hard work (and a lot more situations where things could go not-so-well).

Nonetheless: Great work folks! Keep it up!

I know this judge's reputation and I know that the community doesn't feel the way some of the people on this board project.

How about giving Lago Linda campground, just four miles from Bald Rock Road the opportunity to provide you with a drinks and food stand on the RRGCC land.
We have always welcomed climbers to camp with us, ask Rhunter. He and his friends make themselves at home with us. We can also provide transport from our campground to your climbing area to avoid car break-ins or towing.
