April is when the cute little baby snakes hatch. So, there should be lots of snakes. You will be fine if you don't poop in the woods. Most locals bring little cloth bags with lime in them to poop in. They tie these around their waists. And then they do the strangest thing. They climb up the rock walls and rub the lime on the rock. I think this keeps the snakes away. This is also why there are so many shitty routes in the red. Remember, snakes hate human poop. That is why they bite you on the butt.
